Hi gang,
I'm back home after a nice couple of days in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The wife and I went to see Pat Benatar perform at the Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino, and of course to do a little gambling. Nope, didn't come back with big money, just a little less than I started out with, so it wasn't too bad. Pat's show on the other hand was awesome as most of the ones I've seen in the past few years. Pat and husband/producer/guitarist Neil Giraldo put on a great show performing their classic hits as well as three of the new songs from the new album "GO" which comes out to stores tuesday. I picked up the album rightaway at the show even though I had one ordered at Amazone.com. I couldn't wait. This album RAWKS! During the song "True Love" Neil went out into the audience greeting everybody while still playing his guitar riffs along the way, he almost got a beer shower from one drunk woman who was going to hug him until she tripped while carrying her beer. The audience was really into this show. A lot of people there didn't even know that Pat Benatar had a new album coming out, so they were flying off the sales table that was set-up outside the venue. To top off the day (lastnight) we got to have our picture taken with Pat just before the show got started, but there were so many poeple at the MeetNGreet that we didn't have much time to talk with her as we've had on other occasions, that was kind of a bummer, but all in all a great night.
