Tiffany, the erstwhile mall queen of song, came to our college campus today, promoting her new album and image. Wow, what changes. She completely overhauled her looks, wearing black leather pants, a red leather jacket, and dyed red hair. I guess you do outgrow Levis jackets and Jordache pants. She was also accompanied by an electric band, the type of which you might find in the bands Poison, Ratt, or Whitesnake. Though her songs were nice and modern, they were also very forgettable (I can't even remember the tune of one of them). And, she did play the token crowd pleasers "Could've Been" and "I Think We're Alone Now", but these, too, were modernized. Is nothing sacred?
To make a long story short, I went expecting one thing, and she delivered another. So, if I offend any modern Tiffany fans, understand that not everybody was shocked. I'm sure some people will go for her new image. I, however, am not impressed.http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00yawn.gif
