View Full Version : Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Hooooorrraaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!
Bogie just got six tickets for the September 30th show here in Toronto.
Brilliant review to follow I have no doubt.
Xis make sure you post the review of your show too.
"I'm as excited as a little girl"lol.
xistenza 8-09-01, 02:59 PM Bogie - that's good news! I just found out the he's playing a second day here. but, tix are sold out. of course.
I'm going on October 4th...and I've already cut out the ad from TimeOutNY. I always do that for bands I *really* like.
I will definitely post my review.
Hey, do you have the new album? I haven't picked it up yet. What's your take on it, if you have it?
The new album is tres cool. It's closest in tone to The Boatman's Call but many of the songs are a bit more uptempo. I think it's very good. Lots of gospel undertones to some of the songs (style not content) from The Good Son but overall it is closer to Boatman.
I've been reading the setlists from the European leg of the tour. Check 'em here if you haven't already.
Cave Sets (http://home.iae.nl/users/maes/cave/live/ncbs00.html)
It looks like he's dropped some of the earlier stuff that he played last time he was here. Tupelo and From Her to Eternity are the most notable omissions. It's still gonna be the best show I'll see this year though.
Have fun.
xistenza 8-09-01, 09:44 PM I agree. I'm certain it will be the best show of the year for me too. I will *definitely* pick up the new album this weekend. The Boatman's call is one of my favorite Cave albums. Lyrically, it's one of his strongest, I think.
Just picked up Boys Next Door last weekend. I had it years ago so it was good to add it back to my collection.
Do you like his Birthday Party years?

Cool, there is a Boston date **before** my move to Phoenix! Yee haw! Thanks Bogie
xistenza 8-27-01, 04:38 AM They added another night on Friday in NYC. Thursday's sold out.
I've seen that the entire tour has been cancelled.
Will have to wait and see now. :(
xistenza 9-17-01, 05:19 PM WHAT????? Are you serious?? Of course you are....who would kid about this. Damn. I was so looking forward to this. I better call my friend. Thanks for the news Bogie.
Yeah, I'd never joke about that. I haven't heard about tickets yet. Don't know if they are refunding or rescheduling.
Check the Collector's Hell or Angel In Devil's Boots web sites. They all seem to have the info.
I searched pollstar as well once I heard. They now say there are no scheduled dates for Nick Cave. They don't provide any info about the cancellation though.
Yep... I was just checking on the Boston date to see if I could get a ticket... and my local club's website said the tour was cancelled. My best friend had tickets to the show in NYC as well. He is pretty bummed out. At least neither one of us gets to see him now, so the score is even. ;)
Sunday, April 28th, is the make-up date here in Toronto.
I cannot wait :D
This has been an excruciating wait. I have the shakes. LOL
Only four of my tickets are spoken for right now. That means I have two extra if anyone is gonna be in T.O. on the 28th. Let me know this weekend 'cause I won't be able to hang on to them once I get back in the office on Monday.
(Long shot, I know, but thought I'd offer to my fellow Xchangers first. LOL)
Happy, Happy Bogie.
WOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!
He just gets better and better. :)
