I just heard that Guns and Roses is touring this summer. Does anyone know if this is true?

Well Ithaca I do know that a new GNR has been assembled by Rose, and they played a couple selective concerts so far.
The first one GNR showed up late- classic, and Axel died his hair dark and looked a bit like Ozzie in the pic I saw- even the round glasses!
He also looked real fit and heavy. According to the attendents GNR sounds almost SPOOKILY like the original band when they played classic GNR material, and some didn't like the new sound too much, which was more electronica ala Nine Inch Nails, but that it was still good! After all Axel is writing the material.
"Chinese Democracy" will be their next album, and I guess it will be due out this year unless something horrible happens!
Don't know about the tour though.

I thought they were playing at Ozzfest....

There were rumors that they were going to play Ozzfest. But, the main stage acts have already been announced and did not include GnR. They are playing some European Festivals this year, that much has been confirmed. They are still working on a full fledged tour, no other announcements have been made, yet.

Yup, it looks like they're touring. The album should be out shortly...
