Who deleted the message about the new Bon Jovi album that had the picture of the cover?

I just signed on a couple of minutes ago, and all I gotta say is wow, this is NOT cool! Sal, you sound pissed, and I don't blame you! Aren't you the only guy who can do that kind of precision editing? What I mean by that is, I know anyone can edit their own message, (I never have, but I've seen the tagged on the bottom of some peoples postings) but aren't you the only one that can preform that kind of precise, exact deletion of a post? I hope you haven't been hacked. I hope who ever is responsible did it by mistake, or has a damn good reason for doing it!

I can't delete my own posts either so I wouldn't know how to delete anything. That's pretty childish for someone to do that.

Well, it's okay. It was just a message about Bon Jovi's new album "Crush" and some pictures of the cover and inside (I think). It was a small message without many replies - it was kind of old anyway. The thing that really disappointed me was that I had a link directly to it on the front page. So for some time, one of my links were broken. That makes the website look cheap and uncared for. When a service informed me of the broken link, I replaced it with another. I hope whoever did it, just did it by accident.

I believe all moderators can delete messages. I'm not POSITIVE if they can delete messages in forums NOT moderated by them. If you'd like to test this theory, please post a test message and delete THAT. Otherwise, I have confidence in all my mods so I'm not worried about it.

It was a post that I created to help promote the new Bon Jovi album, "Crush". It would be nice if somebody stepped forward just so I know for sure it's Human Error. I didn't even get to see this thing nor did I know it existed, so it's definitely not I! To my knowledge, only mods can delete or edit other people's posts in the forums where they're designated to moderate. The only posts I've ever deleted here are exact duplicate posts by the same person (you know the ones) in the areas I moderate. It may just be a system bug or something.

OK Guys and Gals. I am the one that deleted the message with the aforementioned BON JOVI photo. I did not do it as a slight on Bon Jovi. I did it a while back, and never really gave much thoght to it. As a mod here, I try to delete any message that is over 10 or 15 days since somebody last posted. That way, we dont have 1000 messages where nobody is talking. Sorry If it hurt anybody's feelings, that was NOT the intent!

Otherwise, thanks for coming forward Jasper! Atleast I know now that the system isn't getting flakey on us! Or we have a hacker or something! Well, you don't have to worry about deleting messages, really. Thanks for the thought though! That's really great of you to be keeping track. But we can keep them here until things start filling up on the server. This way, people can refer back to messages and even some new people get to see them. Okay? OK, I hope BlueOmega didn't see that. So you really met Jon Richie and Tico? That must have been so cool!!! I met Jon very breifly june 25 1996 when he came to Montreal to promote Destination Anywhere. He is nice. A little shy though, so cute. But doesn't he look real tiny in person?
