You have been handed a time machine, you can transport yourself back to one year in the 80's for ONE WEEK. what year are you going to, where are you going and what are you doing before you week runs out.

I'd go back to the late 80s...I'd be watching Molly Ringwald movies. I wouldn't be working. I'd be chilling. I'd listen to my 80s cds.....

I'd go back to the year 1985, and watch Back to the Future in theaters, and then I'd go and see Lost Boys. :D Then I'd go and get a bunch of the old Rainbow Brite and She - Ra toys! (Okay, so I was a big fan of RB and She - Ra. So sue me. :p )

I'd go back to 1985 or 87, turn on the radio and tape all those 80s songs I loved that I can't remember the names of (or even the lyrics) that never get played any more.

I'd probably head to the games arcades and play all my old favourite arcade games, then I'd go home and watch some of my favourite old TV shows.

I'd go back to 81-83, and just hang out a school in the parking lot with the guys, cracking jokes. blaring car stereo's and trying to find out where we gonna party on friday night

I going back to 1985, maybe the spring. I'm gonna sneak my dads credit card out, hop in a cool convertible and go buy boat loads of 80s style boots, tees, jeans, tops... Anything I can get my hands on. I'd hit a few record shops too. Load up on some posters and albums. Then I'd come back here and make a fortune selling it to you guys. :p Actually I wouldn't be able to part with most of it. What a fun shopping spree that would be though!!! :D

Let's see here. Assuming we ignore the general laws of what you can and can't do as a time traveler, I'd go back to a time in January 1983, after the N.C. State basketball team got blown out in two consecutive games (at the time it looked doubtful if they would make much out of their dismal season; Dereck Whittenburg was out with an injury and the team chemistry was in terrible shape). I would then place a large bet that N.C. State will win the NCAA championship.

And then I will collect all the dough on April 4th!

I would head back to 1984, the touchstone year that truly defined the entire decade! There was all the gloom and doom talk regarding the George Orwell novel, but 1984 turned out to be an awesome year for music and pop culture! :thumb: For my week, I'd hit all the big clubs in NYC and LA (provided that bi-coastal teleportation is allowable!) and dance to all the great, groovin' 80s hits. Maybe catch Madonna at an early club performance or the Police in concert before they call it quits. I'd then finally get to dance on American Bandstand! The week would go by entirely too fast; don't we have the option of staying? :)

I think I would have to pass on this trip. I would be way too tempted to change my past.

I'd go back to the year 1985 with the latest computer, cellphone, and whatever else I could pick up that's hot, and say I invented it.

Great topic, Blitz!

I would go back to the summer of 1987 and do some things I did not do. I was way to shy then. :o

I would probably go back to the summer of 1988 and just have a fun time. I would try to enjoy life more than I did when it really was 1988.

I would go back to 89 and prevent a couple of Deaths, first keep my parents from going on that vacation, the one they had to take and never came back from and then I would also stop my best friend from riding his GSXR 750 so damn fast.

:(That's terrible. Preventing things is an entirely different story isn't it?

Didn't mean to depress everyone, sorry. Good question though Blitz...

It's not that, AMK. I think for me, it made me seem selfish with my wish. ;)

I would go back to 1989 and spend more time with my grandmother, who passed on that year, as well as my grandfather, who passed on 2 years after that. There are so many things I wish I could have told them, but I was too young, and self-centered at that time.

I would go back to the year 1985 to my Junior Prom, and when that Cute guy ask me to stay and party with him - I would tell my ride to go on and I would have stayed!! Plus I would load up on all the great music from back then and bring it back with me!!
