OK, I now have alot more respect for the Stagehands Union. For those who don't know, It's the guy's that build stages. Through a friend I got the job assembling the main stage at Rib America that's downtown this weekend. Oh Man, am I sore! there wasn't alot of hard labor at first, just alot of ducking and bending. Later on came laying the decks of the stage. Alright, that's hard labor. The only reason I took the job was because I heard it was like $20 bucks an hour. And found out that you ern every dollar. If any one here dose this everyday, my hat goes off to ya. If any one knows anybody that does this for a living, buy them a beer. That's all !!!!!

I totally agree.. I used to work for Broadway Theater Touring and those stagehand guys work their butts off.. Its a lot of hard work and you have to know what your doing or someone could get hurt.. Ugly Kid are you in the union? The pay is great if you could get in and stay..

No as of right now im an extra. Some of those guy's said it may take 3-4 years to get a card. But, I am on callback Sunday to take the stage down. OH, my bones!!!

People who build anything for a living have hard jobs--I hear people bitch and moan all the time about what my brother in law charges for labor, but it's hard work! You have my sympathies,that's for sure, you do earn every dollar you make
