I just wanted to post real quick to tell anyone interested that the show last night went perfectly! I finally got to meet my new bud AtelloBassist(and swap CD's!)and was pleased to find out that he's as down to earth and cool in person as online.
Aside from that, the crowd response to us was more than we could have hoped for. We sold a ton of CDs and were asked to sign a bunch of them. Ah, fans! Warrant was excellent, although Jani kind of looks a little like a mix of Riff Raff from "Rocky Horror" and John Elway. He's GOT to grow back the hair! Jerry Dixon was doing his best Nikki Sixx impression, right down to the snakeskin cowboy hat! They had a new guitarist and drummer, and were extremely tight musically. Jani's voice was on also, and as a front man he is still one of the best.
I'm happy to say we held our own with them, which is always hard to do considering what opening acts are put through when playing with a national act. Thanx to my lovely wife, we have the whole Livesay set on video, so if anyone wants to see for themselves, drop me a line.
Now....I have to move to my new apartment AND go check out Atello tonight....all on three hours of sleep!!!! WHEW!!! Rock on people!!!
PS - Our new CD is finally out and available by mail order on our website, and you should definately check out Atello's CD. AtelloBassist gave me a copy, and I can honestly say it rocks! Great production, great vocals and excellent songwriting. Can't wait to see 'em live tonight!
