About a week ago, a friend and I were talking about how between us we must have just about every hit song ever released in the 80s. Out of sheer boredom (and possibly sheer insanity) we printed out the entire Top 40 list (we can now add 'ESC - FLO' to the list) and started checking off songs.

Well, we were a far cry from the whole Top 40, but we're pretty dang close on the Top 20!

What it all came down to is: we've started making a gigantic CD set with all the songs that broke the Top 20 between January 1980 and December 1989. We're on Disc 5 now and have just hit Pat Benetar (not literally, of course. She could STILL probably kick our butts.)

So what can I say but THANK YOU for having this incredible resource available and thank you for encouraging our obsessive compulsive behaviour!

Hmm... that might actually be a good name for the CD set: The Obsessive Compulsive's Guide To The 80s!
