If anyone, like me,loves cemetary photography,I have posted a couple pages of ones I took just a couple weeks ago at Lakeview Cemetary here in Cleveland. This place is one of the largest Cemetaries in Northeast Ohio. Many famous people are buried here,including...John D Rockefeller,President James A Garfield(His coffin is laid out next to his wifes in a 3 story memorial building, you can go in the basement level and see the coffins),Elliot Ness(actually his ashes were scattered over the Cemetaries Pond, but I guess you can say he rests here)and many others famous politicians and Artist of the last 3 centuries. This place has so many beautiful statues and crypts it has to be seen to be believed. These are only a few of my pics,I have many more I've yet to scan.

That's neat, actually. Normally, cemetaries (well, the ones around here, anyway) give me the creeps, but Lakeview looks beautiful.

Our cemetaries around here USED to be beautiful, but then you got idiots who go around vandalizing the stones, and what have you.

The cemetary my grandpa's buried in is okay, at least, the older part. The newer part looks too... industrialized. Kind of hard to explain, really...

Really kewl pics, cultleader. :thumb: I spent a lot of time in the cemetary close to my parents' place when I was younger. It was so quiet, and peaceful. All the old headstones are lovely to look at. I still go there when I need to be alone with my thoughts.

Those photos are awesome! I actually am into cemetary photography. We have taken pictures of our ancestors graves for years now. Just the old ones. My mom just wrote a genealogy book of our family dating back to the 1700s. There are tons of photos like that in there. Photography is a hobby of mine and those pictures turned out fantastic. Thanks for posting them! ;)

I love this Cemetary. They even have some space set aside for some local artists to display their sculptures.I swear it's a great place to spend an afternoon and delve into the past. Some of the stones here even go back to when Cleveland was a new city back in the late 1700's.The neiborhood is a very artsy place so there's always someone sitting around writting, reading, taking pictures,or just enjoying the peacefulness of it all.

Here's the official website of Lakeview...

You should go at night and see if you can photograph some orbs. That'd be cool.

Those girls in the last page almost look life-like
