A little off-the-cuff research:

The domain 14may2003.com is registered to the liber foundation. (www.liberfoundation.com)

The liber foundation claims to be a group of scientists who have photos of the afterlife.

When you try to access the afterlife photos, you are taken to a porn site (ape51.com).

Ape51.com has bogus registration information but it was registered via the same server and is using the same DNS servers as 14may2003.com and liberfoundation.com.

In the "pressroom" of the web site for the Liber Foundation, it mentions that ape51 stands for afterlife photon experiment nr:51.

I can't really find anything else on it.

My bet is that some Hollywood studio is doing this to launch a new movie - sort of like all the Blair Witch hype.
