Well, I suppose I shouldn't really be mentioning this here. Metallica is Hard Rock now.. But the Metal crowd should be part of all Metallica discussions.. So..

Metallica's new album is set to come out early next year.. Any thoughts? I don't even think I would download it from napster.. First, I don't really like them.. Second, I don't really like their music.

Do you think they will give us a Metal album? I mean, if they don't - they're in some serious trouble...

As far as I'm concerned I really don't care what that band does. They'll never get another bit of my hard earned money. I'd much rather spend it on Metal bands like Jag Panzer, Primordial and Bifrost. Metallica is a disgrace to the very essence of METAL.

This is so distressing! I was a Metallica fan for YEARS. I don't mind that they grew out of the METAL genre, I still liked the music. But, I have noticed my respect level at an all time low with them. Can you still be a fan if you cannot respect the band? I did hear a rumour that the new CD will be more like the older stuff, but I don't know if I want it now. *sigh* I am one sad chick, lemme tell ya....

Well, I hear ya Raine.. I know you still liked their newer material - and there's nothing wrong with that. People have all different kinds of likings. If we all had the same opinions, then why would there be a need for more than one of us?

But, for really serious fans of their old stuff (who happen to love very heavy metal) lately, they're just very dopey (to be nice). I suppose you are understanding how we're upset (to say the least) with them...

I find it silly that they're playing in live concerts with bands that hate...
