Ok, now were startin to get serious. This is a tough one for me. I got into a lot of the bigger names that we're all familiar with:
Ozzy, Sabbath, Maiden, Dio, Priest.

But, I did get into others that I felt really had something to say. I didn't just jump on the death metal or speed metal bandwagon to be in with a crowd. I'd listen to them because I genuinely liked them. A lot of these bands didn't get the recognition they deserved. Bands like:
Metalica and Megadeath (ok, they achieved some success, I mean, of course, their first couple of cds), Mercyful Fate, Grim Reaper, Hammerfall, Raven, Helloween, I can't think of any others right now.

3)Judas Priest
4)Dio
5)Iron Maiden
6)Ratt (hard rock,more than metal)
7)Doro Pesch
8)Black Sabbath
9)Rainbow
10)Overkill

Megadeth and Ozzy should be close in my list too. I like the Megadeth of the 90's - except for Crush.. But they wont do that anymore...

My top 5 would have to be:

1. Iron Maiden - no comparison...the true
kings of metal.
2. Judas Priest - still kicking ass
3. Helloween - or "German Maiden" as I call
them.
4. (old) Metallica - when they were royalty
5. (old) Megadeth - now they should be
"crushed".

The list goes on and on, but keeping to the subject of the thread, I'll just list my top five.....showing AMAZING restraint by not adding LIVESAY in there! /ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif

Peace,
Pagan
