Megadeth is coming to the local club here, but is charging $25 bucks a pop! How outrageous is that? $25 in a shitty BAR, not a theater, or hall, or arena. WTF makes Dave Mustaine think he is worth my hard earned money? And, they have a local band opening. (A shitty one at that).

Makes me wonder what people think.

Okay.. Jasper.. that sounds like a dream come true to me.. I don;t understand why you are upset.. I mean they ARE Megadeth... don't you think they deserve $25 ? And the fact that it is in a small bar is even better... it's more personal and cozy... I'd much rather have it that way.. then sit somewhere in the back of a theatre and have to use binoculars to see them.. and then pay probably twice that!

Um.. I would love to attend that show.. when and where, Jasper.. remember.. I just live about 3 hours from you!

I'd rather pay $25 for a small club than a big arena too. I just found out Megadeth is doing a club tour they'll be here on 10/8 at The Odeon Concert Club! I'll be front & center because it's general admission, gonna get me some great pics and I don't care if I have to wait outside until 5 in the morning I'M GONNA TOUCH THAT MOUNTAIN THEY CALL DAVE MUSTAINE! <img src="redface.gif" border="0">Þ~~~~

I am not mad at you! My point was, for a BAR, I dont think I should pay $25 to see a show with only 1 major act. I saw Thin Lizzy at the same place for like $12.

Plus the fact that I never really liked Megadeth that much to begin with, sorta makes it seem like a bigger rip off (TO ME at least).
BTW Tinajo, the show is at POPS in Sauget Ill, and is on the 29th of September, tickets go on sale Aug 11th.

$25 for a bar is cool with me... The show at the Pop's is the closest to me.. I checked.. I may end up your way, Jasper! Not sure, though.. my Hubby just said that it is a very bad part of town... what do you think?

Pops is in a town called SAUGET, it is only a place that has a large bar area (4 or 5 large bars) and a factory or two. It only looks bad, the area has a very well lit parking area and is safe, as long as you act like an adult, and use common sense. There is a night club next to it called OZ that me and some of the people from the bar I work at go to after work, at like 230 AM, if all the girls from there feel safe enough to go that late, surely it is safe enough for you to go at 7 or 8. (if the hubby is too scared, you can always come to my house, and *I* can drive you down there!, I only live about 15 or 20 minutes from there)

Man, I have not listened to MEGADETH in ages. I haven´t been able to get into what they are up to these days. I also met Dave at one point and was so disappointed at his arrogance and attitude that I basically stopped supporting what he was doing.

About seeing shows in bar gigs... that is a lot better than a huge venue. I love the more personal atmosphere and hanging with the bands before or after their sets.

I've heard that about him but I still like him :)

And I'm happy as a lark right now because I just WON Megadeth tickets! Now I don't have to take money out of my own VERY naked pockets to buy them :)
