By the time most bands get popular, they have already lost some of their edge. Studio wizards "polish" their sound and they're just not the same. Metallica is a great example. Anybody know about some rare cds, albums, or even singles that aren't in the mainstream. Let me know, because this is the stuff that makes a band great!

Well, I dunno.. Metallica really had something going in their early days.. They were really amazing!! Their first album was a bit odd, to me.. But it was different and rough as hell!

Then, Ride the Lightening.. The songs on that album were so ahead of their time! Fade to Black??

Master of Puppets... Geez. What an album. What talent! Too many songs to name..

Then came ...And Justice for All - to ME, personally, that's my favorite album. I like music about politics...

After that, they went down hill.. But they really did have Metal by it's, ahh, ears. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif In the beginning, anyway... They were the best Metal Band ever.
