interpol - turn on the bright lights
the faint - danse macabre
the faint - blank wave arcade
hot hot heat - knock knock knock ep
hot hot heat - make up the breakdown

i have to say, the faint are totally awesome. if this was the 80's, they would be all over mtv. hhh are pretty great as well. interpol is like a mix of cure, joy division. good stuff. i welcome anyother bands that i havn't mentioned.

(this thread is for bands that around in the 80's)

the faint most definately blank wave arcade is their best album

Electroclash artists, period.

These artists (Fischerspooner, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, and dozens of others), keep the spirit of the decadent decade alive.

Now if only I could find some good electroclash in the stores...it's harder to come across than a sensitive comedian.

Sincerely,

Australian Band Savage Garden I would say are very 80's. They are the reincarnate of Scritti Politti I think, or am I just crazy?

Savage Garden ain't 80s-like at all. They bleed the raw, ecstacy-and-heroin-poisoned blood of the 1990s.

To me, a good example of an 80s-like artist is Pink. She's the 21st century combination of Joan Jett and Madonna.

Sincerely,

John "outofplacechild" Kilduff...

Was my criticism of Savage Garden poetic-sounding?

No Doubt's song "Hella Good" has 80's written all over it.
