Alan Thicke from "Growing Pains" wrote and sang the song, but I don't know the name of his band. I believe he also wrote the theme to "The Facts Of Life"

Congrats, sara! (you make it look easy). The band Alan recorded the theme song with was "Afrodiziak" (sp), BTW. This same name was used for Willis' "band" in the show, as I remember.
