Born Brenda Gail Webb in 1951, sister to Loretta Lynn, Peggy Sue and Jay Lee Webb (all of whom had charted country singles) and a distant cousin to Patty Loveless. She was known for her beautiful waiste length hair. Yeah, I know, she had a lot of hits in the 70's, "Don't it make my brown eyes blue" being my personal favorite from that time but Crystal continued charting into 1990 on the Country charts. She scored an amazing 52 charted country songs between 1970-1990 including 18 #1's. Here is all of her #1 country hits of the 80's:

My Mum loved Crystal Gayle, and I grew up to many a tune being played in the Chase family household.

She has a great voice, one of the best in the business.
