This reeks of all things rotten, but I need all the help I can get, I'm not really the type to sit around and mop or unload my issues on others, but here it goes....

My boyfriend broke up with me in October, for another girl who works in the same place as I do. We all work together, we're all beening civil about it. I'm on speaking terms with them both.
He's been too nice about it, I would recover all to quicker if let's say he would have been a total dick, but he's been nice. Guilt maybe, but whatever is driving him, he's been as nice and nicer than when we were an item. Where we work it's like High School, so every day someone has something to say. And the public opinion is that he moved down the ladder instead of up, I have nothing against the girl, but something is out of place.

This is going to sound bitchy, even remotely snotty, but dude, he could've done way better, WAY better. His own best friend told him that he was a total idiot, in front of me; which is weird since guys are notorious for sticking with eachother.

Ah... getting all choke up now... so this is sort of unfinshed so help out if you can. Now back to my comical self...

I am back on the market... take a number and wait ye turn :p

Wow Ty! That's gotta be hard working in the same place. You've gotta be pretty strong to deal with that. I have an idea though. Blow up that picture of you in the little black dress that you posted on here. Hang it at your work place and then show him no interest what-so-ever. :D

Men are stupid little creatures on occasion. I know, because I am a men. :) I think he is being extra civil because of the eons old tradition of giving the new one a whirl while keeping the old one close, just in case. I <ahem> have been guilty of that once. It is lower than the dirt UNDER the snail slime, but if men can't commit, we can't make up our minds very well either.

From a male point of view one of two things will happen. He will realize he made a Galactic level mistake and try for you again. Or he will decide whatever spell she has over him is going to stick, then he will become less civil.

Just a male perspective.

You know, you're like the 10th guy who've told me that! All of our male friends, including his best friend said the same thing or close to it.

Good to get the male point of view on this, thanks :)

I think its more than just mere civility, guilt or whatever it is driving the boy hard. Doesn't really help when 1) your best friend tells you off 2) all of our mutual male friends tell you off 3) and everyone else things that you're a total idiot
But then again... whatever comes of this, good or ill comes from his designs. Whatever bed is made, is the one he has to sleep in.

I for once, have put a cute band-aid for the time being.

Yep. I'll agree that when it comes to women, men are complete and total blistering idiots! Present company included. I've got my share of regrets from acting like a putz and my guess is that this guy will also when he realizes what he has given up.

I gotta agree with Shere Kahn here. The boy's pullin th'oldest security blanket outta th'box. Don't have anythin ta do with him even if he does come ta his senses, love. He wasn't ever gonna commit anyway. I also agree with everyone that's been raggin on him - he's a bleedin first-class idiot! Any man that'd dump a hot item like you has lost his bloody mind.

I know it hurts, love - but yer better off without this bloke. Really. The pain'll pass in time, an he'll live ta regret losin a girl like you.

Thanks Mil. I wish I can slap someone... but if you're a black belt in NYS, you have to have your hands registered as weapons, so if I would um bitchslaped someone... I would've handed my butt right to jail... which is no fun!

Plus someone at work blabbered off that I'm a tree hugging Witch :mwaha: So she's scared goofy... what I am going to do, hex her to kindgom come? Hmmm... nah

Plus he's complaining about not getting any... ha! And he had to beg off. Last time I checked, you trade in a prude to get a nyph, not the other way around! I'm soo happy I'm a girl... we simply aren't this stupid, we got some real dumb one among us, but this? Nay, this is pure work of the Y chromsome carrying society!
