This just posted on the INXS website. The Great Australian Bite Tour of North America has been announced!! INXS, Midnite Oil and Men At Work will do a 22 city tour ending in mid-June. INXS and Midnite Oil will co-headline.

Sheibub, have Inxs scored any hits on the Aussie charts with the new lead singer? I saw them at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, and the lead singer sounded a great deal like Michael Hutchence, so I was curious if they were still scoring hits at home. But I must say Kylie Minogue looked like a bit of a drag queen at the closing ceremonies!!! I was surprised to hear that Kylie didn't try to seduce Ian Thorpe!!!

Bad news:

INXS' summer Great Australian Bite tour with Midnight Oil and Men at Work has been cancelled, according to the band's official Web site (www.inxs.com).

"INXS deeply regret, and are sad to announce to all our loyal fans in North America, that due to unforeseen circumstances the proposed 'Great Australian Bite' tour has been cancelled," said a statement on the site on Friday (April 13).

No reason for the cancellation was available at press time. The tour was to have started May 28 in Atlanta and continue through June 27 in Las Vegas (allstar, March 26).
