For those of you too lazy to click the link, Eddie comes out and says that he is sorry that he hasnt spoken about it before, but he is battling cancer. (You may remember last year he had a lump removed from his toungue.) He says he is recieving treatment, and he is getting ready to put out a CD and go on tour.

In related news, David Lee roth states that he was "shocked" to hear about Eddie having cancer, and that he will "see him (eddie) down the road".

What this is probably saying is that the reason no "dave's back in teh band" rumors have been commented on is because eddie is undergoing chemo and is not really bothered with recording right now. Or it may all be just a fron tto buy more time to put together a better CD, or a little bit of both.

Valerie Bertinelli has said on recent radio interviews that eddie is doing well, and Michael Anthony said he is waiting for Dave to get into contact with the band so they can go into the studio.

Finally, some 'real' news concerning Van Halen!! Its unfortunate that it is not good news! Cancer treatment itself is very taxing on the body. It may be a while longer before we get anything new from Van Halen. What a shame!
