Both have long careers stretching from the 60's till present , who do you like better

Rod Stewart was my favourite singer at one stage during the 70s, but really it was only his 70s music that I liked. Elton John has had great hits all through his career, so I'm going with him.

I picked Rod Stewart, like you Recker his 70's stuff is awsome, I have the 4 CD set The story teller and CD 3 is one of the best CD's I have, I do like Elton John, but once again I like his old 70's music the best also

They are both great! I voted for Rod Stewart though. I have been a bigger fan of his over the years.

Rod Stewart...he's got cooler hair and less annoying songs. :p :)

Tough choice, both are great, but I'd have to give Rod the dupe. Granted I haven't listened to a whole lot of Elton, but I've heard plenty of Rod and what I heard was good....so there it is :lol::p

It was a tough decision but I would have to go with Elton John.

having to choose, I went with Rod. He seemed to be more consistant in keeping entertained over the years.

Had to go with Elton. Mainly because few artists have any songs I love as much as "I Guess Thats Why The Call It The Blues." Oh yeah, and he is sooooo amazing in concert. :D

Had to go with Rob. Elton was great as the Pinball wizard, but Shorties right. Rod does have cooler hair!

I had to go with Elton John, I love all his Songs and I dig his Style, he's not afraid be wild in the way he dresses!! Which I think is Way Cool!!!

I'm not a big fan of either one of them but I do like the song "Do You Think I'm Sexy"? so my vote goes to Rod Stewart.Really can't stand Elton John though.I find his music boring.

Love 'em both but Reggie..er..Elton gets my vote.

Had to vote for Elton. For some reason i never liked Rod Stewart, i dont like his voice or songs at all.

I like Elton John's music more than Rod's so I voted for Elton.

I chose Elton over Rod... I like lots of Rod's stuff but Elton is so much better to me :-D

Elton, all the way! I think Rod has a few tunes I can live with, but Elton has a LOT I can live with! :)

Had to go with Elton. His stuff through the mid 70's was great. After that he went through some kind of crazy phase but then started putting out some good music again in the mid to late 80's.

I voted for Rod Stewart. I've enjoyed his music (e.g, Infatuation and Passion; both songs are from the '80s) more than Elton John's.

I've never really been into either of their music, however, I chose Elton John, as he has some songs I really like. I've never liked Rod Stewarts voice or music.

I've never really gotten into either of them. Except for in the 70's. But from what I've heard from both, I'd put my vote on Sir Elton. in the 70's, Rod Stewart was too "Disco-ish" for my tastes and Elton John was "Straight up Rock N Roll" of the two. If I had to Put "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" up against "Saturday Night's Alright for fighting", I'd take the latter.

I like both, but when I heard Elton John sing "Candle in the Wind" for Marilyn Monroe he found himself a fan for life in me. :thumb:

there's only two songs I really like from Elton John, 'separate worlds' and 'I hope you don't mind that I put down in words...' (whatever it's called) but Rod Stewart has a lot of great 70's and 80's songs.

I am not really fond of Rod Stewart's voice. I've always found it rather annoying for some reason. He sounds like a rooster in heat.
