Usually when I post info. here, it is because I went looking for it. Not so this time, I was just playing. Look what I came up with--->

New releases:
Paul Di'anno (original Iron Maiden singer)- 'The Beast Live'- Jan. 15
Alice Cooper- 'Mascara & Monsters: The Best Of...'- Jan.16
Autograph- 'Missing Pieces'- Jan. 30 (remember "Turn Up The Radio")

Kiss will be in Japan & Australia from mid-March to mid- April. These guys are touring their butts off. They should rename it 'The Neverending Tour.'

Tesla is on a more extensive tour than I previously posted. They are on a cross country tour. But, it is also a short tour. I can get the dates and venues for anyone who is interested.

Guns-N-Roses are confirmed to be one of the acts to perform at the Rock In Rio Festival in Feb. There is a rumor that they are also going to be on the Ozzfest 2001 Tour.

Ozzy's next album is not only rumored to have Tommy Lee playing drums, but also Zakk Wylde playing guitar and Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath fame) on bass. the album is supposed to be ready in time for Ozzfest and that same lineup is rumored to be touring with Ozzy as well.

Another rumor- Bruce Dickinson/ Rob Halford/ and Geoff Tate are all said to be recording an album called 'The Three Tremors'. All three of their bands toured extensively with each other. Several times during that tour, one combo. or another would sing a duet or a trio(?) together. All three bands are also going to be at Rock In Rio Festival.

Randy Castillo (drummer for Motley Crue, ex-Ozzy) is reportedly undergoing chemotherapy treatments after having a tumor removed.

More Grammy News-The Cure are up for Best Alternative Music Album. U2 are up for Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year.

I have registered with a couple of newsgroups so hopefully I will be able to post about other subjects than music (especially hard rock & metal).

Thanks for this info! Was Paul Di'anna the singer who did Run to the Hills and Number of the Beast? Or was Bruce Dickinson there already? I don't know a lot about Iron Maiden.. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//redface.gif Otherwise, I've heard about Tommy Lee on Ozzy's drums. That would be cool. I'd so much rather see him in Ozzy's band than Methods of Mayhem!! Wierd how ex-Ozzy drummer Randy Castillo is in Motley Crue now - but I do believe he had a cancerous tumor removed. It's all over the Motley Crue message boards...

Paul Di'anno was Iron Maiden's singer on their first two albums, 'Iron Maiden' and 'Killers'. 'Number Of The Beast' was the first Maiden album that Bruce Dickinson sang on. Paul gave us a couple of great Maiden songs like "Wrathchild", "Running Free" and "Sanctuary". The rumor about Tommy Lee is just that, a rumor. Some places are confirming it, others are denying it. Those claiming it is true are citing sources in Ozzy's management staff as well as sources close to Tommy Lee. An official release from Ozzy's management denies it. They also denied Ozzy biting the head off of a dove and pissing on the Alamo, both of which he has since admitted to. If it is true, it would be a great band, but only time will tell.

Well, hopefully it's true. I'd love to see Tommy Lee in Ozzy. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif A metal band where he belongs.. Otherwise, Bruce Dickinson did a great job on that first album. That's the one I always think of when I think of Iron Maiden..
