Dennis Quaid (at the time) postponed his wedding to Meg Ryan so he could go to rehab and clean up from the boozing and cocaine...

Drew Barrymore was smoking pot as early as age 10...

Jean Claude Van Damme has admitted to battling a cocaine addiction...

Christian Slater was aressted in '97 after a cocaine, heroine, and booze binge...

Melanie Griffith has had to battle addiction to prescription pain killers...

Chevy Chase entered rehab to try to kick a percocet habit...

Others:
Kirsty Alley
Kelsey Grammar
Robert Downey, Jr.

How many guys/girls in show biz do you know that have had to battle some sort of human-like behavior?

Also, for discussion, do you think celebrities have it easier or harder than ol' Joe Shmoe when battling substance abuse?

oooh I didn't know about sheryl Crowe and Patrick Swayze was also in for cocaine addiction

I think the list is extremely huge and long

Matthew Perry- alcohol and vikaden
Cory Haim
Cory Feldman
Mel Gibson- Alcohol
Chris Farley
CC Deville
Rob Lowe
Ozzy

( I think the list of who hasn't may be smaller)

I think it's easier for a big time celeb to get the help needed, I also think it's easier for them to get addicted and to relapse, as it's all around them, they have the money to do it, and i think their lives are more stressful than people give them credit for and it's an easy escape.
