Did you know that ZZ Top formed in 1970? This was also their most successful decade.
There is a new country album out that covers ZZ Top tunes, called Sharp Dressed Man: A Tribute To ZZ Top.
They have released 17 albums.
What have you got to share with us? :)
Didja Know Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons live in Houston? :D Not sure about Frank Beard though.

Didja know.....
*For their support of the blues, the band was given a piece of wood from Muddy Waters' (famous blues guitarist) shack in Clarksdale, Mississippi. They had it made into a guitar, named it the "Muddywood," and sent it on a tour to raise funds for the Delta Blues Museum.
*By 1990, the band had sold 50 million records.

Jimi Hendrix apparently praised Billy Gibbons as one of America's best young guitarists on "The Dick Cavett Show".
Did you know ~
(3/20/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Brad Paisley performs a song on the upcoming ZZ Top tribute album, which features fellow country stars Dwight Yoakam, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and more covering the legendary rock act's tunes.
After recording his own version of "Sharp Dressed Man" with the group, Paisley took the group's frontman, Billy Gibbons to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He told LAUNCH, "What's really neat is to see these guys (ZZ Top) become weak in the knees to be in this building (Grand Ole Opry house), and they are. And Billy was so excited, I said, 'Can I introduce you to the crowd?' and he said, 'Yeah, if you'll walk out there with me,' and said, 'Come on.' And I brought the mic out and I said, 'Ladies and gentleman we have a special guest here, it's his first time. This is Billy Gibbons from the rock group ZZ Top.' And they all clapped and I said, 'And if you don't mind, he wants to stand in the circle,' and I took him out to the circle and said, 'Look where you're at.'"
Paisley's version of the ZZ Top classic "Sharp Dressed Man" was done with a country flair. Paisley explained, "When I was asked to do this project I was so psyched, 'cause I was like, yeah, it gives me a chance to cut a track with like six tracks of guitar on it and a lot of different amplifiers that I wouldn't have...You know, I definitely did things a little differently on that track than I did on some other things that I do, but we still made it a country record. I mean, it even goes at the end (into) double time hoe-down feel, which is funny."

Yeah, Milani, I knew that. ;) And!! If you hear the song, you will know how bad it sucks....Paisley is OK, but he does NOT need to be singing ZZ Top tunes...
