Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil yelled obscenites and walked off a nightclub stage in Steamboat Springs, Colorado when fans couldn't sing the lyrics to one of his songs.
Neil became angry shortly after midnight Thurs. whle performing there with a backup band during his solo tour. Neil played a few Motley Crue songs and then started playing one of his own compositions. When the crowd of about 250 didn't know they lyrics, he said the crowd was a bunch of losers (among other things) then got on his bus and just left.
The manager of the club, says that Neil was onstage less than 10 min.. He said the crowd was upset but did not become violent.
The club was refunding the $25 ticket price. It cost the club about $12,000 to hire Neil and was unsure whether the club would get the full amount back.
