Okay, I'm not the only one this has happened to:

You're listening to a song and you could swear the singer says your name. Or at least something that sounds a lot like your name.

For example:

#1: My best friend's nickname for me was Jofman. In the Falco song "Vienna Calling" he says "Ja". Sounds like "Jof" when he says it. He also says it in "Der Kommisar".

#2: My real name is James. In "Change" by John Waite (Yea, Vision Quest!!!) He sings, and the backup singers echo, "It's only change (change)" When the singers echo it sounds like James.

I know 2 more that some friends told me about their names, but I'll save 'em and see if anyone else has heard them.

there's a line in a song from Tori Amos, "I get a little warm in my heart when I think of 'winter', but the way she says it, it sounds like "linda". and since she quotes her father in the song, it seems like my dad is thinking it. lol

There's this little girl I know who has a brother named Tommy--she swears when the Cranberries sing "Zombie" they are saying "Tommy" and she gets so excited when she hears it that we all have to laugh

Sometimes when I hear XTC's song, "Holly Up on Poppy" I swear Andy Partridge is singing, "Molly Up on Poppy". :)
