I don't know if you people know, but at ToonAmi, which is part of Cartoon Network; there is a new Transformer movie (Armada "First Encounter") airing Aug, 23rd 4pm (e/p). There is still talk about making it into a series... I think they are
As for He-Man, they are remaking the series with new episodes
Aug 16th, 4pm (e/p) 90min movie (In the Begining) and on Aug 30th, catch new episodes of He-Man on fridays at 6 p.m. (e/p) during Toonami.
As for Thunder Cats (which is what Im waiting for) I heard something is in the works for the cartoon

I was HUGELY into He-Man when I was 5-6 and remember the first time I saw the TV ad for the action figures. So the sword-and-sorcery was part of my childhood fantasies from that young.
Maybe Skeletor will have learned by now not to just stupidly run at He-Man so he can get backdropped. "By the power of recycled animation!"
Then I was HUGELY into Transformers, the concept of the toys is still pretty darn cool if you ask me.
Therrall 8-12-02, 06:08 AM Cool Ty, although the Transformeres movie isn't really new, it's a Japanese movie being brought over, just as well as the last few Series' we never got stateside hopefully are coming too, Japan kept going with the Transformers Series as well as toys and everything Transformers related, they still air them in Japan now, and they are already on a new Series as is, while we got cut off after "Rebirth" :( BASTARDS!!!
Anyways, He-Man was kinda of cool, She-Ra was badass! :D and Thundercats were alright :p

LOL Chris! Good one
That would be a funny thread, finding all the shows driven "By the Power of Recycled Animation..." like almost half of every Voltron episode. (Love the show, don't get me wrong!)
I'm going to watch the new He-Man at least a couple times and give it a try. I'd rather see the old series again, but it's nice to see an old favorite revived. Cringer/Battle Cat always cracked me up. Everybody's known a cat like that, even if not a green-striped tiger ;)
Roemello 8-17-02, 12:03 AM Ok, I watched the new He-man...overall I think they did a pretty decent job with it. Nothing can compare to the original with me, but this was pretty good. My only main complaint is that Cringer doesn't talk...that's just plain wrong....:p
I just watched it too. Pretty good. Not quite as good as the original, but a decent job with it.
RainbowJemPony 8-20-02, 10:09 AM Anyone else notice how Teela was in a copy of She Ra's outfit?
And, does anyone know where I can find a listing of all the subcharacters? I remember a few of them...BeastMan, EvilLyn, MecANeck....but I dont remember them all, and I wanna have one up on my brother when I see him again...as he's not aware they've remade it.
Hey Rainbow, here's a good He-Man site:

Enjoy!
Tydestra 8-21-02, 05:12 AM Now... if they can only give me what I want... the Thunder Cats!
Hairzilla 8-26-02, 10:09 AM I'm interested to read any other classic Transformers fan's reaction to last Friday's Toonami feature "Armada". I, personally, thought it was disappointing. :6ohboy: [And I was so psyched for it too.] It was very slow moving story wise with far too many still shots and general standing around.
The characterization was also pretty poorly handled for this latest incarnation too, with Optimus' commanding personna being watered down to the degree that he got a kick out of the "Earth custom" of bumping knuckles as a show of friendship. [When he and two other Autobots began repeatedly slamming their big, metal knuckles together and laughing I gave up on it.] :yucky:
And the worst thing of all... the signature sound effect of the Transformers... uh, transforming was noticeably absent quite a bit. :irked:
In fact, about the only thing I genuinely liked was Megatron's latest look. Especially his big, Galactus head.
If "Armada" was a glimpse of a potential new series I'll stick with the most recent version running on Saturday mornings [the one featuring Skybite] which, I think, is the best variation since the original.
What'd the rest of you who caught "Armada" think?
^Yeah I thought the new Transformers SUCKED. That was just embarrassingly bad. The new He-Man cartoon was great, but Transformers Armada was horrible.
I loved (and still love) Transformers!
I've heard that the Cartoon Network will carry Transformers (and Armada) this fall.
