Semi-fixed rosters with players exclusive to one team at the time (for instance, only one of us can have Rich Gannon on our team until he's dropped or traded). We will have a draft to allocate players to teams sometime before the season starts. You can add, drop or trade players throughout the season as you wish.

As soon as I figure out how to sign up, i'll be joining again... will find my helmet design soon also

Well, this should be a new experience for me. I have never played fantasy football with Yahoo before. I have been playing fantasy football with another group for the past five years.

I think you will like it, DC. Yahoo has the best overall free fantasy leagues that I've used. Looks like we're gonna have a great group again this year. :thumb:

Buc, how is the draft going to work? Do we all have to be online at the same time? When is it going to take place?

As it stands now, the draft will be automated. I'll tell yahoo when we're ready and the server will go through the rounds, picking the top available player on everyone's list as each one's turn comes up. It all happens automatically and spits out the results.

We'd like to have a live draft, with as many of us as possible online simultaneously. Even if someone can't be there for a live draft, the server will pick their players as if it were an auto draft.

About the draft, there is one other option on how to run it: An offline draft. This would allow us to make our own picks without having to meet at one time. We could use a forum (like a message board) to take turns picking players until the draft is done and then I could submit the results to the yahoo server.

I would go for an online draft with all of us here. Or we could use the dream chat room one day, on a weekend, when nobody is in it. THat would probably be faster.

Sorry! That wont suit me. An offline draft would be better for me but if the majority dont go that way well I shall accept that!

Well if it's the long weekend in September I won't be able to make the live draft, but we will never find a day where everyone can attend, and Yahoo allows for a live draft where people who cannot attend the computer picks for you as per your draft list created. So I think the live draft will be great for those who can make it, and it doesn't hurt those who can't be there live. So I think the live draft is a good idea

Pagan, when you go to the league home page on yahoo there are some links on the left like commisioner notes and such, and one of the links is for preranking your players. hope this helps....

At your team's page (the one that shows your roster) there's a line near the top that shows your team's name and current record (obviously 0-0-0 right now). Right below that, in the "Utilities" section, it say's "Edit Pre-Rankings". Click there and follow the directions to re-rank the players. (They are already ranked, but you may want to change a few, I know I did) ;)

At the message board, click "Register to Post" at the top of the page. You can choose your name & password there. :thumb:

Everyone who's playing this year please go to the league board and vote for the time and date you'd prefer to have the live draft. I don't want to arbitrarily set a time, but we need to nail down the time pronto!

The draft date/time is still up in the air.:goofy: We won't be able to get more than a few people in for a live draft no matter when we do it. I need some input! Everyone give me any date, any time (US EST) that works best for you. We'll pick the time that is closest to the most people's schedule. Let's nail it down quickly, 'k?

How do we add players who are not listed, in case we are not here for the draft? None of the rookies are listed, and there are a few I would love to have on my list.
