Born in the Bronx, later moved to Philadelphia, this R&B singer had 21 R&B hits between 1978-1990. The song that still goes over good at parties is her first release "Shame" from 1978 but her biggest chart hit came in 1982 when "Love come down" went to #1 for 5 weeks. It was later sampled in The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo money Mo Problems". She quietly racked up 8 top 10 R&B hits including two #1's the before mentioned "Love come down" and "I'm in love". My personal favorite is "Action" from 1984. Anyone else like her?
