Definetly Macgyver, but i always got a sick thrill from Tales from the Darkside (yep, mom let me watch it), also "V" and Dr.Who (my mom HATED that show lmao). Also cant leave out Automan, but the cartoons were what made my school days bearable- Transformers and G.I.Joe getting the big priority! Love this 80sxchange! Cool people, great everything heh!

A few sitcoms (and I stress a only a few) I never missed were: The Cosby Show, Head of the Class, MacGyver, Perfect Strangers, and Small Wonder.

I could list cartoons forever, but my personal faves were He-Man (without a doubt, that was #1) and Transformers.

Ah, yes, I was the ULTIMATE sitcom junkie. I swear I planned my life around the tv guide.

Growing Pains, Family Ties, Head of the Class, Wonder Years, Different Strokes, Facts of Life, and of course Happy Days!

One's I could live without..Full House..Perfect Strangers (don't be ridiculous..that got on my nerves!) (sorry, I know you guys liked it, but I didn't!)

I don't think I ever did see "Square Pegs"..I can't even catch reruns of that show, I feel like I missed out on something.

Well, the only show from the late 80s that I never EVER missed was the Tuesday night sensation known as THE A TEAM!!!!!


I always had to tune in to see what Murdoch was going to do next, how was the A TEAM going to drug B.A. in order to get him on a plane? How many times would I get to see that HOT CHICK they had the first few seasons (Melinda Cullea i believe was her name).

Plus it was always fun watching them shoot about 9000 rounds of ammo and never kill anybody.

Remember when he was locked up and he sat on the floor yelling "TRASH BAGS......I WANT SOME TRASH BAGS!!!!!!!!" and when they gave him some, he used them to escape?!?! That shit had me ROFLMAO!

That or the time he had the Lobster Pincher for a hand, and a checkered table cloth for a cape. I went dressed like that for halloween that year! Nobody knew what I was!

I learned so much from Schoolhouse Rock, and I didn't even know it. LOL I went and downloaded the songs from Napster for my kids. There are some new ones, but, not as good as the "classics" (I'm just a bill, sitting here on capitol hill.)

I've watched a lot of the shows that have been posted already with the exception of a few. I always had to catch V-The Series, The A-Team, anything that was Star Trek related, and I was always intriqued with the show "Banichek", (I'm not even sure of the spelling). Anybody remember that one?
It starred George Papard. His charactor was an insurance investigator, and he used to do these investigations into cases and find some of the wildest ways that items had been stolen from musieums or from collectors. The dude was cool!! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Im my opinion, Hill Street Blues was the most well made TV show ever.

I used to look forward to Thursday nights and if I would be out clubbing instead I would tape it.

And though it didn'y start in the 80's, I all my life have watched Saturday Night Live. I think the funniest seasons of that show are the 1984-1985 season with Billy Crystal and Martin Short(i would flip out when Ed Grimley came on), and the late 80's shows with Dana Carvey and my favorite character the Church Lady.

Hill Street Blues. Yes, an awesome show! I watched it ALL the time.. And Saturday Night Live of the 80s - my favorites.. I used to watch it from 11:30pm until 1:00am every Saturday Night. To me, those years were the best...

Shame on all of you! Everyone's mentioning great 80's shows...and they're all great cause I loved all of 'em...but you're forgetting the quintessential 80's sitcom! I'm talking about none other than our furry orange friend from the planet Melmac, Gordon Shumway. Better known as <FONT size="6">ALF!!!!</FONT s> That show was SO 80's dated it was amazing! I still crack up watching all the tapes I have. The 80's references where drenched in each episode! "Ha! I kill me!"

I also pity the fool who doesnt. I showed some kids the A-team a while back. they didn't ever see it before. spreading the 80's one kid at a time.

The only show I remember absolutely having to be home to watch was Moonlighting. Of course it came on at 9:00 on a weeknight (Thursday?), so I guess it wasn't too much of a problem to be home to watch it. The Cosby show was another one I would be disappointed if I missed.
