So I wrote these lyrics down when I was downloading music to replace my worn out tapes, and as I was writing, I found that for some of the songs I didn't know the artist or song title. This song is one of my favorites, and no one I know could tell me who it is or what the name of the song is. Can you help? Here are some of the main lyrics.

"Ooh the thought of you brings happiness to me, take time, show me how much you love me...when I come home and you're standing there in you lingerie...shows me you want to take a little time..." I am pretty sure this song came out in 1989 appx and is a fairly fast paced song, along the lines of Kool and the Gang's "Tonight" Some suggestions I got were Will downing, Billy Ocean, Al Jarreau, Jon secada, Christopher Washington/walker but I just don't know.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the song is "Take Time" by Chris Walker (from the album "First Time"). The chorus goes something like "Take time/to show me/you love me." It hit the charts some time around 1991 or 92. (I remember hearing it during the latter half of my years in college, so it's definitely an early 90s hit.)

I may be wrong on the artist or the exact title name, but I do know for sure that is the song you're looking for.

Another success. Sure enough, that's who it was. Of course it was out of print but cduniverse.com had a section of that song, it was the one. I guess it isn't 80s, but I'm still overjoyed to find it.

Thanks much:D
