I had forgotten all about Richard Bey till I saw his name. Used to watch talk shows and soaps when home sick. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif Those were the days. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

How about The Arsineo Hall Show, or The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, or Late Night with Tom Snyder.

The Arsenio Hall was really cool when it first started. He used to have groups like Great White and Guns-N-Roses on there. Loved watching it back then.

Don't forget David Letterman started in the 80's.

Next to David Letterman I liked Morton Downey jr. I saw Morton Downey perform one of his shows live on Syracuse, NY.

It wasn't a talk show but I just remembered a goofy game show that was on in the 80's.
Remember the "Gong Show"?
Another show that was on, was more of a news show with interviews and the host was Ted Copple. Don't remember what the actual program name was.

Roemello 4-27-01, 02:10 AM I used to watch Arsenio http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif I think I remember Bill Clinton was on there before he became President and Arsenio was teasing him about the whole, 'I didn't inhale' routine http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

Clinton was on there while he was campaigning back in 92. Remember he played sax with the band on there. Was pretty cool at the time. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

80sTrivia 4-28-01, 05:04 PM Oh, Dame Edna was hilarious, with her purple hair and Elton John glasses! What a hoot! "She" had a smash hit revue on Broadway last year, with great reviews... I used to watch a lot of Sally Jessy Raphael in the early 80s, and her show was pretty good. I also remember when Donahue wore a full length skirt for one of his shows; I bet Marlo was jealous!!!

ok I know it's a 90's thing but I can't get enough of Jerry. He should be starting here in a couple of minutes.
80sTrivia 5-16-01, 12:06 AM Oh, I forgot to mention Oprah... she started in the 80s, 1986, I believe. I remember she used to have these outrageous hair-do's from hell... very Medusa like!!! She should have fired her hairdresser back then!!! <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Springer is OK, but he should be on HBO or some pay channel because with all the swearing and then they bleep everything you miss half of the show.
That 80z Girl 2-24-02, 02:25 PM I liked the more "Variety" talk shows like Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin, and Dinah Shore.
