Just wondering if there were any Oi! fans here and if so whats your favorite Oi! band?

I used to hang out with a skinhead/punk crowd back in highschool. I heard more oi! than I cared to, but ended up liking a lot of it. The business were classic! I met them and even partied with them a few nights. I also liked The 4 Skins, The Addicts, Cocksparror, The Partisans, Vice Squad and a few local oi! bands. Wasn't there a Peter & the Test Tubes song about a dog or something. *laughs* I remember loving that.

I love "Chinese Takeaway"! And "Bad Boy" is cool, if a little more mellow.
Would Sham 69 and UK Subs be included in this genre? "I Live in a Car".... that was almost my theme song :lol:

Sham definatly would(depends who ya talk too)Don't think I've ever heard of the Subs being described as Oi!but neither are the Casualties but they definatly have that Oi! spirit(great band live by the way)

I'm not a Nazi and I love Oi!Not all Oi! is nazi music,not all skins are Nazi's.I get so tired of people who stereotype a certain kind of music as belonging to a certain group.It's like me saying that because I saw all these idiotic straight edge kids beat up a girl in a club because she lit up a cigarette,that Minor Threat's music is all about ganging up and beating on girls.

I didn't say you are a Nazi or that all Oi! music is, but there will always be some dunce (or two) who will do an action that will cause an immediate re-action - especially in a Neo-Nazi capital like Huntington Beach, California. I am sorry if my original statement was misconstrued; I meant to edit it, but completely forgot. The music is great, but, you know, there's always that one who'll ruin it for the rest.

I know what you mean,I've had run in with nazi's,and SHARPS for that matter(SHARPS are just as much of thugs as nazis,don't let the anti-racist angle fool you)Cleveland doesn't have that big of a nazi presents anymore(it's been dying off slowly for years)Although when the Buisness came through here recently you'd of thought they shipped them in from out of town,but the show went off with out any trouble(we'll nothing out of the ordinary anyway)

I love The Adicts!! Songs of Praise is one of the best albums ever.

I don't listen to a whole lot of oi! because most of it gets kinda repetitive sounding to me, but Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Cockney Rejects, Angelic Upstarts, Cocksparrer, and the Templars are all pretty good.
