This game was also interesting to watch. The first half of the game was all Senegal, as they took the lead at halftime, 3-0.

The game had it's rough spots throughout the half, as there were a lot of yellow cards issued. During the second half, a lot cooler heads prevailed. Only one of the players (from Senegal) was issued a yellow and will miss the next match.

The second half proved to be a very interesting half. In the first minute, Morales scored Uruguay's first goal (45:27). This woke up the sleeping giant for Uruguay, as they were pretty much unstoppable throughout the whole game. Senegal was totally thrown out of sync in the second half.

During the second half, Ricoba and Forlan kept the team in high spirits as they dominated the field keeping Senegal in check. Uruguay in the second half had clean passes and well-timed shots.

Both teams showed a lot of talent on the field. The score was tied, 3-3. Unfortunately, Uruguay need a 2-goal lead to advance to the next round. Senegal wins.

With Denmark's 2-0 win over France, I believe that gives Denmark the overall win in their group.

Thanks:thumb:

This sport is truly amazing to watch. With the crowd, the players, refs, etc, and the occasional unpredictable-glance-off-the-head goal, it's hard not to get addicted to this game:thumb:

The overall great sportsmanship is also a big O.K. in my book:thumb:

Plus gotta love the fact there are no commercials during gameplay:D

OH YEAH! That's the best thing about the coverage so far! I wish sports was like that all the time.

Yep! And to think the Americans wanted 4 quarters instead of the two halfes just to squeze more commercials in there during 1994 WC :tsk: ;)

Did they really? That is nuts. I missed this game, but I watched the goals after the Denmark game. It sounds like it was a good game.

best game of the tournament so far (for neutral spectators)
uruguay were so close to winning the game (and progressing to the next round)
they certainly played alot better with 4 strikers on the pitch
