What is your favorite Spring Break memory or story?

Mine was in Palm Springs 1989! My friend and I told my parents we would be in Huntington Beach but instead we took off for Palm Springs, the one place they told us NOT to go!!! We had a great time! The second day there some people told us our picture was in the window of a photo shop. We went in and asked the guy why he took our pict and put it there and he said he sent it to the associated press to put in the newspaper along w/ the spring break stories. From there it could go in any paper. Nooo! I was so scared my parents would see it. I spent the entire trip searching for any newspaper I could get my hands on. Luckily I don't think it ever made it. They did give us each a copy of the picture. I still laugh everytime I see it! :D ...and feel a bit guilty for the lie!

I never got to go anywhere special on Spring Break as a kid. The only one that was pretty special to me was my Junior Year of High School. (Spring of 1989) My ex-husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) and I went to East Texas to Lake Livingston and also went into Louisiana. This was a big thing for me since it was my first time of ever leaving the state of Texas! You gotta remember that this state is huge and it is like a country in itself.

We all would just go out to the lake and party. Just a bunch of kids working to pay for our cars and music. I ENJOYED the movie Spring Break though. LOL

Acapulco, Mexico, April, 1988! No parents in sight, lots of sun, sea, surf and another word that begins with s!!! I can overlook the fact that I almost died while para-sailing, (stupid boat driver left me in the middle of Acapulco Bay with a ten ton wet parachute weighing me down!) Aside from that, everything else was marvy!

Ummm...we never went anywhere for spring break. The big thing about it was that my birthday was that week.

But I did get to work at the movie theater, and that was fun (no, really, it was!)

The family went to Florida to visit my dad's brother for winter break one year. We walked around New Port Richey in February wearing shorts and t-shirts so we could look like touristy northerners.

Spring Break during high school was the occasional party at a friend's house.

Who needed Spring Break when I got to college. I lived right behind a Sorority House.
