View Full Version : Official 80sxchange Awards: Category #21 - Best Concert Festival Of The 80's
Iluvthe80s 6-08-02, 10:34 AM I wasn't sure how to word the title for this one so I will explain. You are voting on the best all-star music festivals of the 80's (for example: Live Aid & Monsters Of Rock). I hope I included the biggest ones. My mind went blank this morning. You have two weeks to vote with this voting session ending on 6/22/02. If you pick the "other" option, please write "other" next to your answer. It makes it easier for me to find your votes. Have fun! ;)
I voted for "Live Aid". To this day, that is still the best music event ever. So many great stars joined together in July of 1985. I don't think there will ever be a event as good as that one.
80sTrivia 6-08-02, 12:42 PM I had to vote for Live Aid. It was just such a monumental event, completely unforgettable. I'm glad that I was able to experience it, if only through television and not in person! :)
I had to vote for Live Aid. Nothing was bigger or better in my opinion.
angeleyes25 6-08-02, 08:33 PM I voted for Live Aid that's the only one I really remember.
Cartoon_Chris 6-08-02, 08:34 PM Donington, which I guess became the same as Monsters of Rock in the '80s, so I voted for that.
Shortie Blonde 6-08-02, 09:57 PM LIVE AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nolanbuc 6-08-02, 10:03 PM As far as a 80's cultural event, Live-Aid gets my vote. :thumb:
I voted for "Live Aid", easily the best concert with the most talent during the 80's!! For me a treat beyone belief, Madonna performed three songs and then performed with the Thompson Twins!! THAT ROCKED!! :thumb:

Greenway88 6-11-02, 09:54 AM Live Aid. Many great acts, important cause.
Nothing can top Live Aid. ;)
BlitzKid 6-12-02, 04:00 AM Easy choice for me, Live Aid! I am obsessed about that concert, maybe because I missed it back then. I was too young to be interested in music festivals back then, started being interested in music one year later. It took me 10 years to find someone who taped it back then and made a copy for me. Unfortunatley it was taped from Austrian TV and they had a lot of interviews inbetween and didn't show parts of the concert. How can someone keep on talking when Spandau are already on stage?? :(
Prefab Sprouter 6-12-02, 08:06 AM I went with Live Aid. Nothing tops it for Line ups or performances!
Iluvthe80s 6-22-02, 09:14 AM The winner for the best music festival of the 80's is: LIVE AID

I wonder if it is on video???
