the irish aren't home and hosed yet in this group....it could very well come down to goal difference....and with germany smashing 8 past the hapless saudi's, they're still in the box seat

the irish were kinda lucky there, though germany went a bit too negative (they're still not as good as italy at closing up shop)

I still think the Irish stand a good chance of going thru'. Of coz Cameroun is hot favourites agains the saudis, and after that match they will yake 2nd place in the group. But then Ireland only need to beat the saudis (which I'm sure they will), and Cameroun will have to face Germany in their last game ... admitted the german side might take it easy or play poorly (as they usually do in the group play), still I think they will win or draw against Cameroun .... Yup, things are looking pretty good for the irish :thumb:

Just know this Prefab, when we meet you in the final, I will not cheer for your side, we want that trphy for ourselves, but I'm sure you'll make a fantastic second ;) :lol:

You better believe it Smurf although lets not get carried away, space-invader is right. We are really lucky. Mind you you still havent seen the best of Ireland yet. This isnt the team that beat Holland and drew with Portugal. The Keane saga has drained them. Still we're still in with a shout :D

I really don't know what's wrong with the German squad - even with the Irish pressing in the last 15 mins of the game, it wasn't that big task to carry the lead home.

Except when you belong to the German team...man, that game was bad. And if they think that the coming match against Cameroon only needs an early lead and holding it, they're wrong. But this is the result if you give the preference to more or less big names instead of skills... :rolleyes:
