View Full Version : Cop shows
There was a ton of cop and detective shows during the 80s but I can't think of them all.
There was...
Simon & Simon
Magnum P.I.
T.J. Hooker
Hunter
...

What about Hardcastle and McCormick? I loved Chips and Riptide. Didn't mind Magnum either. Was jake and the Fatman classified as cop show? Suppose so! Dukes Of Hazzard could *just* classify as one with Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.

Sal Collaziano 4-26-00, 12:48 AM Magnum PI was pretty cool too. I remember watching that sometimes. Probably around the same time as Knight Rider was big - that's when I was watching alot of TV.

RetroMan 5-01-00, 11:11 AM Miami Vice is why I still (and always will) drive an 80's sports car. I've got it bad huh? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif - I loved Chips too! I remember it had loads of great action with car chases and things blowing up

Sal Collaziano 5-01-00, 07:28 PM Wow, you might be more stuck in the 80s than I am! I'm just getting out of my 80s car. hehe I really want something newer and I've found it. I'll never forget all my 80s cars though. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Nikki_91 5-02-00, 12:37 AM I love watching old reruns of CHIPs! I have a few of them I just taped of TNT. One's about the rollerskating fundraiser, where Ponch goes to Milton Berle's house to help enlist stars to participate. Leif Garrett is in it too. (Cameos by people from Eight is Enough, Diff'rent Strokes..etc.) Ponch was such a babe back then!

Check ya later-I'm outta here!*Nikki*
RetroMan 5-02-00, 09:26 AM Ponch was my favorite cop dude too Nikki! - I remember riding my 'dragster' bike around the place with a baseball card in the spokes to make the engine sound - and I used to ride up and down the street imagining I was Ponch - man I've done some weird stuff! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sal Collaziano 5-02-00, 10:34 AM RetroMan, hehe. That's a scene we need to see on video. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif

it's funny you should ask about footage - I've got quite a lot of my childhood captured on video http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif but, uh no Ponch impressions sorry! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sal Collaziano 5-03-00, 02:10 AM Uhh. I barely have even pictures of me from long ago. A few that my Mother had were stolen, and a couple that my girlfriend had burned in a fire... So I get in as many pictures as I can these days...

If you want to talk about embarrassing stories here's one:
It was about '82 and I was at work with my dad ( I was about 5) who worked at a plumbing supplies place. They had a showroom of toilets, tap fittings, showers and stuff at the front. I was in the office playing with an old phone the boss game me to pretend being a secretary! I then decided I needed to go to the toilet. I couldn't find it so I went for a walk to the showroom and looked around and found some toilets http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Well I think you can guess what happened then.....I used it http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Luckily it flushed, but I only peed in it! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I'm still embarrased about it too this day!
