This two week session will be on Best Comedy Movie of 1987. Six choices, plus your option of a "write-in" vote for another movie of your choice if you do not feel any of the choices are the best. Remember, if you use that option, please write "OTHER" next to your choice. That way I can find them easy so I can manually tally them up. Have fun! :)

My vote is going to "The Secret Of My Success". Michael J. Fox was great in this movie. Definately one of the top movies of that year.

I voted for Planes, Trains and Automobiles but it was almost a tie with Throw Momma From the Train. PT&A is my fave John Candy movie and TMFTT is my fave Billy Crystal flick. Love both of these movies!!! :thumb:

This was tough because I liked pretty much all of them. If I have to choose though, I went with Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Voted for "Spaceballs" with "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" on a very close second!

Of memory:

"I was your father's cousins, cousins roommate"

"What does that make us?"

"Absolutely nothing, and that is exactly what you will become!"

   Great movie!

I went with Spaceballs. When they told Darth that it was too dangerous to stop - they had to slow down first! That was good. A lot of funny moments in that one. Raising Arizona was a close second, loved that movie too. Very understated humor.

Raising Arizona. Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter's dry sense of humor thru the whole thing still cracks me up.

Okay, since this one is a tie, we will have to have a tie breaker. The tie breaker will run for one week only ending on 6/15/02. It will be "Spaceballs" vs. "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles".

It would have to be a tie between THREE MEN AND A BABY and PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES. I'm sure there are other great comdies out there from this time but I'm just choosing from the ones that are listed on here.

Even though I love the string of curses at the rental agency in "Planes Trains and Automobiles" I'm gonna have to go with "Spaceballs" for the scene when they're combing the desert and the dudes are using the pick.
"We ain't found s#@t!" That's friggin hilarious.
