Anyone catch the first installment of this last night? For the most part good, but some of the picks were a little strange. "Yes"??? I LOVE Yes...one of the best progressive 70's acts around, but hard rock? No way. "The Pixies"???? Are you kidding me? Next thing you know, they'll have the Cars up there. I'm not saying any of these bands aren't good, but man, they should stick to the topic! The sad part is, it was voted by rock musicians! Weird....

Okay maybe it's just me (but I doubt it) but I think the bands #100-76 should be PISSED that ****ing SPINAL TAP is in front of them. This includes Bon Jovi BTW.

SPinal Tap wasnt a real band for ****ing christs sake. (excuse my language). What, they couldnt remember the name of the band from that "Trick Or Treat" Movie to include them too?

And to top it all off, they (spinal Tap) only had two halfway decent songs on that entire soundtrack (hell hole and big bottom). Their other "effort" they put out just totally blew dog!

So join me now in giving VH1 a big, extended middle finger!

Okay, I see your confusion here. They stated at the beginning that "hard rock" encompassed metal, hard rock & alternative. That would explain why Slayer, Maiden & Priest were on the list. The only problem I had with Megadeth was that they weren't high enough on the list!

According to Vh1, the list was complied by other musicians, writers (what the heck do they know about hard rock?), and critics, who everyone know that they don't know NOTHING!

The only thing that fans got to vote on, were the the little 5 top things Vh1 put on so that on-line voters could vote.

I was extremely pissed that Nirvana placed much higher than Motley Crue. The Crue opened the doors for the whole L.A. metal explosion. Nirvana in my opinion is the #1 most overrated band of all-time! Motley Should have been in the top 10.

Also, Lita Ford should have been higher up on the list. They should have had her host instead of that bimbo Carmen Electra. She is pretty but geez! DUMB!!!

But MÖtley CrÜe in the top 10? Ahhhhh, its kinda the same as Guns-n-Roses being in the top ten. Matter of fact, Metallica doesn't even belong in the top ten, even though I'm fans of both.
