I recognized 3: Baby Come To Me, Mickey, and Tainted Love. My favorite is "Tainted Love". :love: :) I like these polls.

Sylvia! Whatever happened to her? I wa sin grade 3 when that song came out and I loved it a lot and I was looking forward to hearing more form her (even at that young age, I was a groupie). Oh how I miss that song.

I Recognized 4 of them,mickey, tainted love, pac-man fever, and bob and doug mckenzie. I might recognized more if I could hear them but dont recall just the names right now.

One thing that I thought was interesting at Pure 80's pop is that the number one song mentioned in perosnal top tens submitted there was 'a-ha - Take On Me'. Second was 'Tainted Love'. It definitely is one of the 80's essentials.

Did you know that Louis Clark, the orchestra leader on Hooked on Classics was the conducter of all orchestrations done on ELO hits?

Bob and Doug McKenzie were actually Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas as characters from SCTV with Geddy Lee of Rush on guest vocals.

Bertie Higgins was Tommy Roe's drummer in the 60's.

Buckner and Garcia charted hot 100 once before as Will "The guard" and Vigorish with the song "Christmas in the NFL"

Patti Austin and Dazz Band had many R&B hits but only one pop hit a piece. Same with Sylvia on the country charts, not to be confused with the R&B singer Sylvia who went top 40 in the 70's with "Pillow talk"

LeRoux charted hot 100 in the 70's as Louisiana LeRoux.

Only three, Mickey, Tainted Love and Hooked On Classics.

I only know 4.My favorite is Tainted Love.

I was unsure whether or not I heard Noboby by Sylvia. Doesn't her voice in that song sound similar to the Bee Gees? If so I've probably heard it.

Of the ones I do recognize, Let it Whip is my favorite.

I recognize Mickey, Key Largo, Tainted Love and Nobody. Tainted Love is a great song. They had some other good but weird songs too.

I remember 6 of them..."Take Off" is my favorite of the list. I was (and still am) a huge Bob and Doug fan and have even begun to pollute my son by getting him hooked on "The Great White North" album (on cd actually) and "Strange Brew". Take off eh!

Well, I remember 6 out of 10 of those but I might remember the others if I'd heard them.:hammer:

I recognized 8 out of 10. (All but the last two)

However, there were some there that I would have wished I'd forgotten. :hammer:

The only 2 I didn't recognize were the 2 Nobody songs. I have to go to bearshare, at least to hear them now!!

Mickey, Pac-man Fever, Nobody, Hooked on Classics, Let it whip, and everyone knows Tainted Love. :) Based on title alone I wouldn't have twigged to 'Nobody', but I snagged it and as it turns out it's by the same person who sang "SnapShot" which I have been hunting for, but thought it was sung by Sheena Easton for some reason. The other tunes I missed I have yet to preview. I probably know all but maybe one to hear 'em. Anyhow, it's ludicrous time here in the great white north so I'll sign off by sayin' KEEP ON ROCKIN'... Mickey is my favorite! I coach a youth cheerleading squad (10 & 11 yr olds) and all the girls love that song(of course they had only ever heard the version from Bring It On,and I had to bring my 80's cd and let them hear the "real thing":lol: ). I hope to do a cute dance routine with it this year.

Well, Soft Cell had a better career in the UK rather than in the US.

I recognised Hooked on Classics as well, but submitted my vote too late to change it.

I recognize the title and artist for every song in this list. However, I only know the tune to 7 of them. The 3 I don't recognize the tune of are Nobody, Take Off, and Nobody Said It Was Easy. My favorites here are Let It Whip, Baby Come To Me, and Key Largo.
