I voted for "Holding Out for a Hero" as well! It was Hope and Bo's theme song on DOOL back in the 80s! I can still see Hope in her wedding gown, taking off on the back of Bo's cycle as this song was playing! I also loved "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "It's a Heartache". Bonnie had that great, gravelly voice that I always thought was sexy!!! :)

Holding out for a hero

I've been listening to Bonnie Tyler since the early 70's and her music is great! I voted for "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", that is my favorite 80's song, with "Holding Out For A Hero" coming in a close second place! I also love "It's A Heartache", that song brings back many Valentine memories from the 70's!! :)

I voted for "holding out for a hero" I dont know many of her songs. too bad because she has a unique voice.

There's alot of songs I like by her but I voted for "Holding Out For A Hero" followed by "It's A Heartache".

My favorite song has always been "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". It has such a beautiful and haunting melody.

"Total eclipse of the heart" got the vote, as it's the one I'm most familiar with. I remember, I thought the video was a little scary :devil:

Don't know how a woman with such a gravelly voice made such an impact on the music industry. But then again, it's not as if she was a major star, so maybe her gravelly voice is the reason she wasn't huge. Well she certainly wasn't where I come from. :)

"Holding Out For A Hero" was an awesome song so that's what I voted for.

I liked Total Eclipse best. I had forgotten all about Holding Out For A Hero until now. Both great songs.

I've always enjoyed IT'S A HEARTACHE. She's a great singer and I just love her voice.

My vote would have to go with the song, Total Eclipse of the Heart.

I wanted to vote for Lost in France. Then I realised that was from the '70s (No. 9 in the UK charts in October 1976), so I guess I'll have to go for Holding Out For A Hero (though I do have a sneaking fondness for the A Rockin' Good Way... - mind you, I'm biased since just like Bonnie, Shaky, I too am Welsh).

I still don't think ole Shaky had a fair shot at American success. He should have been more than a 1 hit wonder. Bonnie's vocals were excellent in that song :thumb:
