I have been on vacation for 3 weeks, so I have not posted in a while. I went to see X Men while on my time off. I loved this movie. It is a little slower than the trailers would lead you to believe, but instead of being boring, they use the time to tell a story! (WOW, they DO that in movies?) The action is superb and the acting is above average. I am not up on the comic book, but had seen the cartoon a few times. Either way, if you had never seen either the comic or the cartoon show, this is still a great movie. They explain why the people who are mutants all live together and shun the normal humans. I dont want to ruin the ending, but all I can say is the action is intense, and the very end sets up a sequel.

Actualy I think the movie is better if you don't keep up with the comics and the cartoon. See I'm an X-men fan and I saw the movie. BlueOmega liked it but I was a little disapointed. I guess I expected too much of it. I didn't really agree with the casting. Specialy for Storm and Cyclops. Hally Berry was not ment to play storm and the guy playing Cyclops was just way too young! I also miss the other caracters like Beast and Gambit (I heard that Beast will be in the sequel). But I knew that Wolverine wouldn't let me down. The hairdue was wrong though. And I like his orriginal costume better.

All i had to see were the previews to realize how the movie would go- for some reason teen movies today are all the same (pretty much). Everything is dark and without magic, everything explained by the evil of stereotypical white men- and everything accomplished for victory is through angst ridden crotch kicking, overblown drama and the shallowest sort of righteousness. Well....i guess it is just a movie. But you know if WE were in control of everything i wouldnt complain. I think it's strange they left Gambit out- whats the point? Is it cause he smokes?? I wouldnt be suprised! Now, when IM the president of Paramont, besides two Flashdance sequels i plan to release a New Mutants movie! Any suggestions? And yes we will see wolfgirl boobies.
