I am in my second semester of college as a freshman. I feel that I am about to let everyone down, including myself.

For some reason I feel that I am about to fail two of the three classes I am enrolled in. It really sucks! I did very well the first semester. My G.P.A. was almost a 3.4 . I always seem to do well the first semester and then bomb out the second semester. I hate it. My study skills are very bad. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would. All I can say is that it took me this long to realize that I need to have better study habits. It's very depressing. Why didn't I realize it sooner?

I know that if I fail these two classes then my parents are going to hit the roof. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but right now I just have the gut feeling that I am going to fail.

Snowflake, just be honest with your parents and let them know you realize your shortcomings of the past semester and that you're determined not to repeat this and hopefully they'll understand. It does not good to worry about a situation, until there is reason to worry. :) Good Luck!

I agree with Trixter, tell your parents the truth. They will understand. They will just expect you to try harder and you need to.
Don't worry about it to much. It is not the end of the world. There is always next time. Notice what you need to change and then do it. But always rememeber your parents are there for you, talk to them :D

Thanks for the advice.

I wish it was that easy. I had this same problem in high school, and every time I failed a class or came close to it my parents would always start screaming and yelling at me. It was like they didn't understand at all. I hated it.
