Hey Y'all,

Did any of y'all ever run away from home as a child or adult? Why?

The worst I did was run across the road and hide in the long grass for about an hour!

I was about 8 or 9 and had done something to my sister and my mother had gone to get the belt to give me a wack on the back side, so I took off!

Needless to say I did return (After my mother had gone out for a bit) and I still got the wack around the backside!

I used to do it all the time when I was about 4, I would take my ronald mcdonald green lunchbox and put a sandwhich in it with some toys and go and hide in the backyard. My mother would just watch me from the window and laugh. :D

Does packing up and moving to a foreign country to live with a completely different family for a year count as running away? No, I never had the urge to run away, but it was nice to get away from my family every once in a while!!!

I unfortunatly did and lived on the street for a time,I definatly don't recomend this,it's not as romantic as it sounds.

I ran away once when I was 8 years old. A girlfriend of mine wooed me away and convinced me to runaway with her. Her plan was to get to the Citadel, the mall in Colorado Springs, and hideout in J.C. Penny's furniture department, and when they close, we could live there in the furniture displays. :goofy: Well, we had to pass through a graveyard to avoid police, and I wasn't happy about that, but I pushed on. It was like 35 degrees outside, I was cold and hungry, but we persisted. Crossed the graveyard and were caught at Burger King by police. I was taken home and surprisingly, my parents weren't upset, just overjoyed that I was safe. So, it wasn't that bad of an experience....well...except for that graveyard!

Nope. Not unless you count hiding under the dining room table.

No, but when I was little I used to tell my mom "I'm running away from home now, but I'll be back in time for dinner." That was my way of telling her I was going out in the backyard to play.

I don't know if this counts or not, but when I was 17 my family was going to move to Louisiana. I refused to go and stayed behind. I had to start making my own living and figure out what I was going to do with my life. ( At that particular time I choose going out) But ever since then I have been pretty much on my own.

Once in a while when my parents bitched when I was little my brother and I would walk down our road to a near by stream and stay there for a few hours. Sometimes we'd take the go kart, too. But now I just go in my room and blast White Wedding. Thank god for CDs. :banger:
