Congratulations Jazzmyn! :)

I am also in the process of bettering my health by trying to lose some pounds. I've gone down a waist size and am almost where I want to be. It can be rough, but worth it in the long run. :) Keep it up. :thumb:

Congrats on your progress you two. I'm trying to find a way to GAIN some lbs. I wouldn't mind putting on an extra 10 or so.

Thank Jazzmyn! :) Don't feel bad, a treat every once in a while isn't bad. I try and regulate by sweets most of all, but I do give into the craving about 3 times a month. Conservatively though.
Doing this won't, or hasn't with me, wreck a diet. :) So, eat that cheescake and enjoy your vaction! ;)

I've lost 50 pounds or 6 inches off my waist since late October, still have about 30 pounds and 4 inches off my waist to get down to my usual weight.

I don't think I had it as hard as most people trying to lose weight, because mine shot up quicky, It was not weight i had always carried with me, so it's disappearing pretty quicky compared to some people who struggle with loosing weight.

I had managed to gain about 80 unwanted pounds over two years, when my girlfriend left and i got a new job working 60 hour weeks. I quit working out due to no time, and every meal was pizza, fast food, and a few beer. In addition I was out of town alot and with the company paying the bills, most meals I gorged on all you can eat buffets...... I pretty well ate anything and everything in sight all high calorie and high fat for 2 years and boy did it pack on.

I sure wish I never threw out my old clothes last september:)

Proud of myself. Made through my vacation without gaining any weight!! lol Guess I did enough walking around to burn it all off. :)

Way to go everybody, I'm going to join the bandwagon, I need to lose about 25 lbs. I just started exercising this morning with, of all people, my boss. Hope I have a positive report to give in the near future.

Polarbear.......
I am too. I need to gain at least 10-20 lbs. Should we start a new thread on this? I am glad that those who are trying to lose weight are succeding......alot of people don't know how hard it is to GAIN too.

Yeah.. with my quick metabolism, gaining weight is difficult for me. Although I'm currently only 10 LBS or so underweight, last year, because of health problems (that I'd rather not discuss on the board), I dropped to 116 LBS, which is seriously underweight fro a 6-footer. But eating lots of high-calorie/high fat foods helped me gain some 40 LBS since :D

I understand about not wanting to discuss the personal issue. But hope things are as well as they can be at this point and glad that you gained those pounds!

Mine is thyroid......I started out life weighing in at 8 1/2 lbs. Haven't gained too much since then
