WireArt-Punk heroes "Wire" are back and they're on tour in Germany at the moment. They have completed two extensive tours recently, and apparently felt confident enough to start a new label called Pink Flag and release this seventeen minute 6 song EP of original material called "Read and Burn" released through their UK label Pink Flag Records. Fields NephilimBeggars Banquet have compiled 3 original video programs onto one stunning DVD essential for Fields of The Nephilim's fans. "Revelations" released on 9th December 2002 is a collection of their six impressive promo videos and a bonus electronic press kit. "Forever Remain" is a live show from 1988 and "Visionary Heads" a concert from 1990. The promo videos for Nefilim and Rubicon are Bonus inclusions. At the vanguard of the original Goth movement in the 1980's, Fields Of The Nephilim were probably the most popular live band in the genre, with a large and loyal following.

Inspired by the arcane arts, vocalist Carl McCoy wrote dark, epic lyrics around his beliefs which set the Nephilim apart from their peers. Their recordings also achieved notable sales - they dominated the UK independent charts with four number 1 singles and their albums entered the national top 20. When the band split in 1991, Carl continued with a heavier sounding project, Nefilim, while the rest of the group issued two albums with a new vocalist under the name "Rubicon". Their audience, however, never went away and in the summer of 2000, Fields of The Nephilim headlined four major European festivals, playing to 60.000 fans.

Full DVD Tracklisting: Revelations - Promo videos: "Preacher Man", "Blue Water", "Moonchild", "Psychonaut", "For Her Light", "Sumerland.

Forever Remain - Live at Town & Country - 1988: "Endemoniada", "Reanimator", "Dust", "Love Under Will", "Trees Come Down", "Moonchild", "The Watchman", "Last Exit For The Lost", "Chord Of Souls", "Preacher Man", "Dawnrazor", "The Sequel", "Phobia", "Laura"

Visionary Heads - Live Brixton Academy - 1990: "Intro" (Dead But Dreaming), "For Her Light", "At The Gates Of Silent Memory", "Paradise Regained", "Blue Water", "Sumerland", "Submission", "Chord Of Souls", "Last Exit For The Lost", "The Watchman", "Psychonaut"

Bonus Tracks: Nefilim - "Penetration" - 3.35, Rubicon - "Crazed" - 4.27, Rubicon - "Insatiable" - 3.05

Men Without HatsThe new Men Without Hats album is Done so says their website. The album will be released at the web site (menwithouthats.com) probably sometime around December 1st (to be "officially" released in the spring of the following year). The songs are definitively in the MWH electro-pop style, but with a more updated sound. For the remastered stuff, that'll have to wait until after this new CD is finished, but they promise definitively will be doing that later on this year, to be available in the first half of next year. It'll contain the remastered EP + first 2 CDs and some live stuff, maybe even a couple of the "bootleg demos", if they can find some that don't "suck" too badly.

In the meantime Men Without Hats is currently looking for 2 new members to do some live shows starting probably not before next year (2003). Male or female. Age is not a factor. You must not be a slob and have a good appearance. Qualifications: Must be able to play keyboards and sing. Preference will be given to those who additionally play rhythm guitar and/or bass guitar. Must be very knowledgeable in midi, sequences and sampling. Must have your own equipment (and not a load of crap). This is to show that you are an up to date practicing or working musician, and especially that you don't need to be taught things like how a sampler works. (But ultimately, you will be using MWH gear.) Those interested should send a demo of your work, along with a bio, a list of your gear, an email address and photo to: P.O. box 423 St-Agathe Quebec, Canada, J8C 3C6

Following the successes of Boy George's musical "Taboo", Madness's "Our House", and Queen's musical "We Will Rock You" Duran's Nick Rhodes has also been talking about a possible Duran Duran musical.

Naked EyesNaked Eyes were a key presence in the synth pop movement of the early 80's. The duo formed in Britain in 1981 Comprised of former schoolmates Pete Byrne (vocals) and Rob Fisher (keyboards).
Naked Eyes debuted in March 1983 with the LP "Burning Bridges", reissued in the U.S. a month later as a self-titled effort. The lead single, a cover of the Burt Bacharach-Hal David perennial "Always Something There to Remind Me," emerged as a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching the U.S. Top Ten on the strength of its video, which received heavy airplay on the fledgling
MTV network.

The American follow-up, "Promises, Promises", was also a major hit, and Naked Eyes' future looked bright. However, 1984's single "(What) In the Name of Love" barely scraped into the Top 40. Film production stopped in May and was revived in July. Producers told Jett that if they paid her the remainder of the $100,000 it would break the movie, the suit said.
